Recently opened by very experienced operators from California, Los Cabos offers a California approach to your favorite Mexican and Baha cuisine. The menu offers the basic nachos, tacos, enchiladas, burritos and combo plates as well as it’s signature dishes such as grilled Ahi Tuna and slow mesquite-wood smoked pork ribs, Monster River Prawns and grilled Filet Mignon. With the shared experience of enjoying a cocktail on the beaches of Baha Mexico, the founders were inspired to bring to Thailand their love for the cuisine, cocktails and atmosphere of Mexico.
Robb Vaughn who is from San Diego, California is an experienced chef and seasoned restaurant operator with more than 25 years in the U.S. market and over 8 years of experience in Thailand. Robb was involved in a number of operations throughout California and major markets in the United States and has been responsible for opening over 25 locations. In Thailand, he has opened six restaurants throughout the country under two successful concepts, Tequila Reef and Great American Rib Company where he is locally well known for his ribs.
Robb’s partner, Howard Cummins is a seasoned restaurant and nightclub operator with more than 30 years experience in the hospitality business. He has an extensive experience in operating Mexican restaurants throughout California and the United States. It was in Mill Valley, California, just across the Golden Gate Bridge that the two met and worked together. Howard has opened and /or re-conceptualized over fifty restaurants and bars in his career. He currently owns and operates Guest First Group (www.guestfirstgroup.com) which is a hospitality consultancy that specializes in opening and operating restaurants and other related businesses. Guest First Group is based in San Francisco, California and soon to open an office in Bangkok.
Robb and Howard believe strongly that guest service and attitude must compliment the guests’ experience of the food and beverages. “Creating the entire guest experience starts with great food and drinks and is followed by making the guests feel truly welcomed and cared for.
